In terms of the manufacturing process of neon lamps, whether they are open tubes, powder tubes or color tubes, the manufacturing process is basically the same. They all need to go through processes such as glass tube molding, sealing electrodes, bombardment degassing, filling inert gas, sealing exhaust holes and aging.
Glass tube molding - that is, the process in which the production personnel burn, bake and bend the straight glass tube into a pattern or text along the outline of the pattern or text through the ** torch. The level of the production personnel can be seen with the naked eye. The lamp tubes made by low-level personnel are prone to uneven corners, too thick or too thin, wrinkled inside, and skewed and not flat.
Sealing electrode——The process of connecting the bent lamp tube to the electrode and the exhaust hole through the flame head. The interface should not be too thin or too thick, and the interface must be completely melted, otherwise it is easy to leak slowly.
Bombardment degassing——The key to making neon lamps. It is a process of bombarding the electrode with high voltage electricity, heating the electrode to burn the water vapor, dust, oil and other substances that are invisible to the naked eye in the lamp tube electrode, and exhausting these harmful substances to evacuate the glass tube. If the temperature of bombardment degassing is not reached, the above-mentioned harmful substances will not be completely removed, which will directly affect the quality of the lamp tube. Too high a temperature of bombardment degassing will cause excessive oxidation of the electrode, resulting in an oxide layer on its surface, causing the quality of the lamp tube to deteriorate. The glass tube that has been thoroughly degassed by bombardment is filled with an appropriate amount of inert gas, and after aging, the neon lamp production process is completed.
